Some of these molds are very toxic to us humans, and most of the time we do not even know the symptoms because we will think that we just have a normal cold or illness. These symptoms can range from sneezing, coughing with a dryness of your throat, a shortness of breath, and even headaches, and these are just some of the things that a person who is exposed to black mold could experience. After a while of being exposed, you can start to experience more severe symptoms, such as memory loss or lapses, mood swings and depression, vomiting, and nausea with a tightness in the chest. If you have some or all of these symptoms with an irritation of the eyes or skin, you can usually rule out the other illnesses you might be having as symptoms of being exposed to black mold, but you still could be wrong and the best way is to go to your doctor and tell him that you have the likelihood of being exposed to this kind of mold. They will probably want you to have your home checked by professionals and if they find this mold, they will tell you what the best methods of removing it will be. If you only experience these symptoms in certain rooms of your home, that is probably where this mold is at, and when you find it get rid of it as soon as possible. Check places where there is a lot of high humidity like your laundry rooms and also your bathrooms because these rooms are subject to having broken water pipes or flooding. Other places that might be good for this kind of growth are your basement and your attic. You will need to check all the rooms that have wallpaper, any rooms that have carpets, your windowsills, and even the small crawlspaces. Mold thrives on dark and damp places where the ventilation is poor. You will need to get rid of all of it because this mold can start up again even with a small spot that you might have missed. If you start removing this type of mold, you will need to have on something to protect your eyes, nose, and mouth with even rubber gloves to keep it from getting into your skin.
