Disneyland Paris Holiday Travel

By Fred Ramsbottom

A holiday in Disneyland can be one of the best times of anyone's life. Whether you're 8 or 80, you're almost guaranteed to have a good time. However, before you get to Disneyland, you're going to want to book the most appropriate hotel and flight.Take a look at the points below and choose the most suitable option for your holiday to Disneyland.

Hotels - choosing which hotel to stay in is going to be, without a doubt, the number one headache problem. With hundreds of hotels and various accommodations in the surrounding vicinity, choosing the right one for you will depend on three things - price, location and on-site amenities.

Price- choosing a hotel on price is often the most important factor for most travellers.Prices range quite considerably, from the cheaper self catering hotels which are basic but comfortable to the amazing 5 star resorts, which pride themselves on their luxurious suites and 24 hour on-hand staff.

Location - if you're travelling with children, being as close to DisneyLand as possible is often the main priority. Of course, the closer to the main entrance, the more costly the hotel. So whilst there are a selection of hotels that may only be less than five minutes walk from Disney Land, they can be hundreds of pounds more expensive than the hotels that, whilst being the same star rating, are a short drive from the DisneyLand gates.

Amenities - whilst being close to the biggest amenity, Disney Land is a big plus for most, on-site hotel amenities are needed for one or two 'relaxing' days. Keeping the children amused when you need a quiet day is often difficult at hotels as there aren't a great amount of facilities available. However, take a look around and some hidden gems will be sure to shine. For example, take a look at the Disney Land Resort hotel, various priced rooms are available and it features everything from a kids club to a 24 hour restaurant, making it the ideal family hotel.

Flights - there's an array of flights available, from the one-stop flights departing from the major airports to two or three stop flights from most airports within the UK. The one stop flights are the more expensive ones, but definitely the ones that include the most perks.

For example, flying from Durham Tees Valley Airport with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, your flight on 9 May 2009 would cost you GBP 243 return, but you wouldn't have a reserved seat, snacks on board would be limited, the leg room would be minimal and luggage would be restricted.

However, fly from a larger airport, such as Glasgow or Manchester on the same date with British Airways, and you'll have the opportunity to choose where you want to sit onboard, have free meals and drinks, spacious leg room and, most importantly, the allowance for two 23kg suitcases. Of course, this flight is going to cost a minimum of GBP 350 return, but for most, this extra money is definitely worth it.

Whilst it may cause confusion and the occasional cross word, choosing the right travel and hotel is imperative to your holiday in Disneyland. Whether it's a cheap and cheerful boat trip, train trip or flight to a 5 star hotel, or an all inclusive flight staying a short drive from Disneyland, you'll be sure to have a fantastic time from the second your holiday begins.
