There are many ways you can personalize a baby pillow. How you choose to design and decorate your baby pillow will depend on your style as well as the style of the new mom. Always remember infant pillows are meant to be decorative, babies are not supposed to have pillows and blankets in their cribs for safety reasons. When creating a personalized baby pillow you can do any number of things. Photo Pillow: This is a newer type of personalized pillow. You can use a picture of the mom while pregnant or you can wait until the baby is born and use the first family picture or pictures of the newborn. This is a very original gift. Once you find the perfect stencil, you can put the design on the pillow using fabric paint. Embroidery: You can find so many embroidery patterns for free online. You should be able to find a design that you are happy with. The baby's name, date of birth and weight makes an excellent personalized baby pillow. You can find also talk to the new mom and get an idea of the theme of the nursery and then find a cute pattern to embroider on the pillow that will match the nursery. Quilt Pillow: Quilting has a nostalgic feel to it. If you put together a quilt pillow it's sure to become a family heirloom. It's not hard to do either, you can also put together some quilt squares and then sew them together as a pillow. This could be a whole family project. Each family member could sew one square and then all the squares could all be put together. Don't forget to write a special message on your square. You can use a fabric marker to do this, and it won't wash off. There are so many ways you can make a personalized baby pillow. As many gifts as a new mom gets the personal gifts can be some that mean the most, and are kept in a special place in the home.
