How To Brand Yourself In Your Network Marketing Business

Network marketing is a type of business which anyone can take part in. Qualifications and skills are not required to sign up in this type of opportunity. There are probably two types of people who get involved in such an opportunity:

The Sales Representative Or Distributor Or Associate Or Executive

When you look at these words, they describe someone who is an employee of a company. It appears that network marketing companies regard their distributors as employees.

The Independent Business Owner

An independent business owner is what the term suggests, a person who runs his or her own business and who is expert at helping customers solve their problems with what he or she has to offer.

You have to decide which one you want to be. Do you want to be looked upon as an expert who people go to for help or do you want to be regarded as a sales representative representing a company.

Ideally, you will want to be looked upon as an independent business owner. If you choose to be an independent business owner, prospects will be attracted to you and your business. In order to do this, you will need to brand yourself as an expert in your field. There are simple things which you can to to achieve this:

-try and get an email address which has connations with your target market. If you are trying to attract people to your products, for example health and wellness, you should have 'health wellness' or 'stay healthy' or 'weight loss specialist' as part of your email address. If you are trying to attract business builders i.e. other network marketers, you might have 'network-marketingguide' as part of your email address.The email address must always address your target markets. Avoid using such email addresses as Yahoo and Hotmail and AOL. You should strive to have a professional edge to your business and having professional email addresses is one way of achieving this.

-try to obtain your own website and research a domain name which has something to do with your target market. If you do not know how to construct a website, you can use free blogging services such as Squidoo and Hubpages by creating free accounts at these sites. If you decide to use these free blogging services you will not have to purchase any domain names.

If you follow these simple guidelines, you will take the first step in branding yourself and this will help you be the independent business owner in your industry and company.
